During the fuel shortage between March and May 2026, A-PAD Bangladesh implemented a community kitchen model that purchased vegetables, rice, and chicken from low-income local farmers and used those inputs to prepare meals for the training participants. The initiative achieved both immediate food support for trainees and direct economic relief for smallholder producers while operating under severe transport constraints.
