H.E Mr. SAIDA Shinichi, Ambassador of Japan to Bangladesh visited the Hakimpara Primary Health Care center at Camp-14, Ukhiya, Cox’s Bazar on 17th April- Thursday, 2025 to observe the health services run by the medical equipment provided from Embassy of Japan under GGHSP project. During his visit Mr. Karasawa Shinju, First Secretary & Head of Economic cooperation section and Mr. Makiguchi Yasuyuki, Second secretary, Embassy of Japan to Bangladesh were present.
Since 2019 CIS has been implementing uninterrupted modern therapeutic & diagnostic health services with the help of medical equipment like Hematology Analyzer Machine, 4D Color Doppler USG with online UPS, 12 Channel ECG & Generator provided by the Embassy of Japan to Bangladesh under GGHSP project for the Rohingya & Host communities at Camp-15 extended Camp-14 later through existing primary health care center. More than 200,000 patients from both host & FDMNs have received different health services by these equipment in last 6 years.
The target beneficiaries are from age group including pregnant Women, Children, Old age group and obese, Diabetic & hypertensive patients. The PHC center has become a referral clinic in camp-14. Sometimes patients come from other camp for USG & ECG. Computed pregnancy checkup (USG) is very attractive investigation for the pregnant women both Host & FDMNs community. Complicated pregnancy, heart disease & infectious diseases can be diagnosed easily.
